Hey there ladies! I’ve got so many thoughts on these verses that I’m already stumped. However, here it is!
Yes, Adam was made first and God had a wonderful plan for him. He was given dominion over the earth. In other words, Adam was to rule as a 5-Star General.
I surely respect God’s order and hierarchy of Man as the head. God did make Eve (i.e. us ladies) as a ‘help meet!’ Help Meet is defined as a companion or helper. We are designed to assist the man and aid him. We were not created from the bones in his head that he would LORD over us or from bones in his feet that he would trample us. We were created from his rib to be able to walk alongside him throughout life (sort of as a 4-Star General).
Soooo, square those shoulders, keep those heads up and upright! 5-Star vs. 4-Star, a General is still a General! As the man is the HEAD, we are the NECK! Ah ha, you’ve never seen a HEAD move without a NECK!!!!! Grow the ‘Neck’ vision. For the most part, that Head is never aware that it’s being propelled by the neck. A well-oiled neck moves the head into areas that it thought it was moving on its on!
What type of oil should you use? Oil that is lubricated with soft words and seasoned with smart ‘1-step ahead’ thoughts. Oil that has been marinated in thoughts such as ‘It’s ok if he thinks it’s his idea, I am the neck that’s acting as his GPS.’
