There’s definitely something to be said about community.
Definition: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
We women rarely go to the bathroom alone. Why would do life alone?
Steven Furtick preached a message a few years ago titled ‘The Struggle is the Same’. The message has become known as his ‘ME TOO’ message. In it he states,
“I lose my temper…me, too!!!
You wanted to cuss somebody out in traffic this week…me, too!!!!
You’re NOT crazy! ME, TOO!!!!!!!”
There’s a certain WOW factor that hits you when you realize you’re not alone in the struggle. There are other people out there facing the same issues. Nothing can rally the troops like money and motherhood.
HOW?
A light bulb moment happened for me while meeting with a fellow Mom about business. How many other Mompreneurs in the area are just like me? How many are trying to balance motherhood, entrepreneurship, dinner, marriage and clients? Think about the ‘ME TOO’ moments that could come from a group of like-minded Mothers!
That simple conversation sparked the idea for a local Mompreneur group. Within a week, the plan came together complete with a brand and 5 year vision. It’s a pretty good one.
